Hello Golfers,

Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal kicked off the new European Tour season by narrowly holding on to win the Alfred Dunhill Championship by a single shot from Joel Sjoholm.

However, that was not the headlining story. For the first time, shorts were allowed to be worn during competitive play due to the sweltering temperatures.

So, is this the start of a new trend on Tour? Apparently not, as it was made clear the leniency applied for this tournament only.

How times have changed

We've got a little task for you. Next time you're down the club on a busy day, have a look around and count how many golfers are using an electric trolley compared to those that aren't. We think the number might surprise you...
