Brain Teaser The two riches members of Augusta National are reported to be worth a combined $174.9 billion. Who are they? Any idea who said this? “Day one was extremely frustrating from a putting standpoint. I was very frustrated Thursday night, packed my suitcase to potentially go home Friday night. Started early on Friday morning didn't really have a lot of time to putt before the round of golf, obviously just playing the 18th. Felt something in the couple of putts that I did hit, just opened my shoulder slightly. From that point I've been able to stand over the putts, I've been seeing my lines a lot easier and been rolling a few putts in. My game has been rewarded obviously with rolling a few putts in. I'm in a funny position, right? I said to you guys I've got no expectations going out on the golf course. I didn't have any; I just went out to play golf. I'm going to do exactly the same tomorrow regardless of whether I'm leading or not. I know I'm going to have quite a few chances tomorrow and I'm going to need to take them. I haven't won a stroke play event on the PGA TOUR and I'm in a position where I've got an opportunity to.”

Easter Scramble On Saturday the sunshine finally made an appearance, which saw many of our members take to the course in the Easter Scramble. Congratulations to the team of Dale Band, Carl Band, Justin Barnard, and Nick Datson who took first place with a great score of 57, winning by half a point over second place. A Nearest the Pin competition for both categories was also held. This was on the 7th for the ladies and in nearest the pin in two on the 16th for the men. Well done to Mimi Falconer who won the ladies prize for closest on the 7th, and Robert MacGregor, who holed out in two on the 16th, after driving the green.
Well done to everyone who took part on Saturday, let’s hope for more sunshine, and dry weather to follow into the competition season!

Don't hold your breath: Tiger burning bright but not enough to win says Butch Harmon. Butch Harmon believes it would be a storyline second only in the event’s folklore to Jack Nicklaus claiming a sixth Green Jacket at the age of 46, but he reckons Tiger Woods needs to brush up his driving to have any chance of justifying him having been installed as the bookmakers’ favourite to win this week’s Masters. |

Put your name up in lights |
It only comes around once a year and it’s that time again - Masters week! The first Major of the year takes place at Augusta National this week, which we always take as a sign that the season is getting underway. With this in mind, we have one question for you: are you ready to play your best golf this year? |
Maximise your potential We've all sat looking at the honours boards in a clubhouse before, admiring the one name that appears to be on most and thinking 'wow, they must be pretty good!' Well, how good would it feel if that name up in lights was yours? If you come and speak to us we can talk about your strengths, weaknesses and goals for this season and look at the best way to help you achieve them, whether that’s a one-off fault-fixer lesson, regular sessions to aid your consistency or perhaps a look at your equipment. |
