The Second Major Of The Year
Erin Hills takes centre stage this week as the U.S Open rolls into town for the very first time.
It's probably the closest course America has to a links course we see every year at The Open with its tremendously undulating greens and fairways, not to mention the ridiculous 8,100 yardage from the back tees. Be sure to click on our Video of the Week here to view the course for yourself.
So who's in with a chance of winning? Well, accuracy off the tee is going to be paramount; not just to give the pros the best opportunity to hit the right portion of the green, but also because if they're two yards wide of the fairway then they're sure to be hacking out sideways from the two-feet tall rough.
Reigning champion Dustin Johnson is the unsurprising favourite heading into the week having been in incredible from with three wins already this year. Can you see past the world number one?
Pro’s Day Cancelled Due To Adverse Weather

Joe ‘Booms’ The New Titleist 917F2
After spending some time looking for a new 3 wood, I finally found one that blows the rest out of the water.
On the Wednesday, 14 June I spent some time on the Titleist fitting day with Ben Hiscock, the Titleist Technician. We looked at many aspects of my bag and pin pointed that my 3 wood was the problem area. We worked through many phases and tested numerous combinations of shaft's, head design's, and weight's, and when they all fell in to place the results were outstanding. Not only did I find the feel of the 3 wood I selected second to none, but the distance along with the forgiveness it provided was fantastic. My dispersion decreased making me hit the desired target almost every time, along with the ball flight that was desired.
I then went on to compare this to my TaylorMade M2 driver and found that the 3 wood went further. Repeat…my Titleist 917 wood went further than my M2 driver. I would recommended these fairway woods for any level of golfer, low or high handicap, and really believe that it can add distance and accuracy to your game. Who doesn’t want to hit fairways and gain more yards? Book a fitting session and get fitted for Titleist woods and improve your game, the results are staggering.
