Club Captain David Ryder enjoyed success at Newquay on Sunday. The Tehidy CTC team prevailed in a closely fought match against Truro GC.
Tehidy Park will now play Perranporth in the quarter-final on November 27th at a venue to be arranged. Next up for the Captain is the second round of the Cornwall Bowl, which is to be played this coming Saturday, at Merlin Golf Club, starting at (9:00am) versus Trevose.

MCILROY SAYS NO TO TURKEY: Rory McIlroy has pulled out of the Turkish Airlines Open, leaving him a long shot to capture the Race to Dubai on the European Tour. McIlroy presumably withdrew over security concerns. "I think it's obvious," was all McIlroy said on Sunday when asked why he chose to withdraw.
